landscape architect intern
As part of our growth, we are seeking a Landscape Architect Intern to perform a variety of landscape architecture and planning tasks, supporting the landscape architecture and planning team. You will assist with technical tasks including, but not limited to: codes and ordinance research, base drawing preparation, product research, conceptual planning site layout, site plan development, entitlement support, concept and schematic landscape plans, design development and construction documents landscape plans as well as construction and planting details drafting. You may also be asked to assist the landscape architecture and planning teams for various tasks and office assistance including field observation visits.
Job Description and Duties:

Assists with research of codes and ordinances and other due diligence tasks.

Assists in production of landscape architecture and planning drawings and documents striving for error free work.

Ensures timesheets are submitted on time.

Maintains a good relationship with staff, has a willingness to learn and a commitment to the profession.

Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Education and/or Experience:
-
Must be in process of completing a BS/BA degree from an accredited university in the fields of Landscape Architecture, Planning or Urban Planning.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid driver’s license
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Excellent oral and technical written communication skills.

Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary.

Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework.

Knowledge of industry related software.
-
Knowledge of AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of Adobe products and Sketchup preferred.
-
Must be fluent in the English language.
